A Living Tradition
Shia Ismaili Muslims are a culturally diverse community living in more than twenty-five countries.
They are guided by a living, hereditary Imam, the Aga Khan, a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through Hazrat Ali and Bibi Fatima. The tradition is distinguished by its conviction that faith should be lived in the world: in how one learns, works and treats one's neighbours.
